What Do You Believe?
Several years ago, before I was really into watching movies and such with a Metaphysical point of view, I watched a movie called, “The Skeleton Key.”
Some might call it a horror film but it was more of a supernatural suspense or thriller. Without giving any spoilers, the main point of the movie was the idea that the “magic” could not affect a person until they believed in the magic!
I remember wondering about that idea as it pertained to the first, second, or third time I saw a “ghost” or “spirit.”
I vividly recall the circumstances and the feeling that I had when I saw these images and the actual interaction that I had with them and them with me.
Did I see them because at that time I believed in ghosts and evil spirits?
If so, what else have I seen or experienced solely because my belief made it so?
In the film, “What the Bleep” there is a story about a Shaman staring out at the ocean because he noticed the water patterns indicating something what there but he could not see anything. And so he stayed there looking, opening his mind until he could see an armada of ships. The point was that having never seen ships such as these, his mind had no point of reference to believe in them and thus no way of seeing them. It wasn’t until he, as a medicine man, opened his mind to the possibility that he could then see what was making the water react as it was.
Knowing that the mind is very powerful, I often wonder what are we truly capable of creating as a collective species of humans? Are you familiar with Star Trek? Have you ever noticed that many of the "inventions" from the TV show have been or are actually things we utilize in our daily lives? How Science Fiction has become Fact? Take the following examples in case you have no idea what I am referring to... I know some of you are not Trekkies (LLAP) The Star Trek Communicator
was the template for what became our Flip phones
The Next Generation touchscreen consoles have become our touchscreen monitors
and touchscreen Smart Phones
So does this mean the Holodeck could be possible?
Or what about the Food Replicator?
If we are able to take something that at one time only existed as a make-believe fictional creation and make it an actual usable functional device, then what else is possible? Is it not called "Make Believe" for a reason? Are we not Making our Beliefs? If so, what could we Make ourselves Believe? Could we truly create peace on Earth if enough of us “believed” in it?
Could we provide food and shelter and clean water for every person alive, if we “believed” it was possible? If we believed in abundance rather than scarcity?
Today, let’s take some time to just look at our lives in terms of what we believe as ask, what came first the chicken or the egg, i.e., do I see this because I believe it or do I believe is because I see it?
Do I feel this, or experience that because of my beliefs or vice versa?
And if you feel daring enough, stretch beyond that as ask what do I not believe in that I could explore the possibility of it, or at least imagine it as possible?
The end of war maybe or government officials acting with integrity, a world where the diversity and inclusion of all is actually how we live?

I believe not simply as I believe but I avail my mind which is the Mind of God to believe as God believes! Therefore I allow infinite possibilities and potentialities to fill my mind! My mind is not limited because, there is One Mind and that Mind is God's Mind and that Mind is Vast, Incomprehensible, Undefinable, and Infinite, and That Mind is my Mind now!
“Humanity does not suffer from the disease of wrong beliefs but humanity suffers from the contagious nature of the lack of belief. If you have no magic with you it is not because magic does not exist but it is because you do not believe in it. Even if the sun shines brightly upon your skin every day, if you do not believe in the sunlight, the sunlight for you does not exist.” ~C. JoyBell C. Then he touched their eyes, and he said, “Just as you have believed, let it be done to you.” ~Matthew 9:29
